Hello there!

About the Artist...

Hannah Wynn Kendall is a British artist based in Sydney, creating oil paintings and ink drawings that explore memory, home, familial love, and the quiet things we carry through life.

Originally from Shropshire, Hannah studied Illustration at Manchester School of Art before building a successful Live Scribing business in London. Over eight years, she partnered with global organisations, using drawing to visually map ideas and stories in real time, becoming a passionate advocate for visual learning and communication.

A move to Singapore marked a turning point in her practice. As the pace of commercial work softened, space emerged for a more personal creative exploration. Inspired by memories of family members, the countryside, and the shifting meaning of home, Hannah began developing her first body of oil paintings.

Now working from her studio in Sydney, she continues to build on the foundations of illustration, often beginning with intuitive ink drawings that evolve into larger painted works. Her debut solo exhibition, The Things We Carry, brought these themes together through a series of works exploring memory, landscape, and belonging.

Hannah is fascinated by the way we move through life carrying fragments of our younger selves with us. Her practice is rooted in observation and allowing meaning to unfold over time. Through painting and drawing, she creates emotional landscapes that invite moments of pause, connection, and reflection.
