Guided By The Estuary - small scale framed

'Guided By The Estuary' is a practise in remembering colours and movement over detail. I was exploring the colours that may not necessarily be present in reality, but present in my experience. I was so intrigued by how familial love, childhood memories, and the sense of calm can be portrayed through paint.  

There is a feeling of hazy memory on the coast that really excited me whilst painting this. The smaller scale of the piece draws the eye in and allows the colour, texture, and movement to create dimension in the room it hangs in. 

Sharing a warmth of the deep red and a sense of eternal strength from the house positioned with the perfect view.
