'The Garden Path' is one of three seminal paintings in my first series.

Inspired by my nephews whilst I lived abroad, I missed watching them grow up, their innate creativity and curiosity. When I saw this photo in our family group chat I was hit by a bolt of lightning.
Through painting these pieces, I felt I could stay close to their childhood, explore themes of home sickness as well as appreciation for my home where I too grew up.

Being surrounded by nature, beautiful gardens, immense greenery has had an impact on how I feel regulated and creative in my own work. 
These pieces bring light and love into the homes they exist in, another fascinating element I love exploring by bringing nature into the home.
